This project was funded with support from the European Commission. This publication reflects the views only oft he authors, and the Commission cannot be held responsible for any use which may be made of the information contained therein.

IUK was the coordinator of the DIGEE Project which started on 01 October 2005 and finished on 30 September 2007. The project was funded under the SOCRATES programme. The project consortium developed and tested the curriculum „Managing Diversity and Gender Competences”; compiled and compared existing concepts (modules, tools, material) from different European countries; developed and adapted training modules, addressing diverse target groups. Through the project a pool of European diversity and gender experts was built up for the dissemination of results, further improvement of the concept, as well as facilitatation of exchange of experience.

Guidelines for sensitive quality management of diversity intend to increase quality and sustainability of educational services and products. The project improved access to education for diverse, marginalised groups and increased effectiveness of life-long learning and motivation to learn.

The project´s target groups were key persons from adult education, qualification, project-management trainers, teachers, instructors, counsellors, staff managers, administration staff, multipliers. Its heterogeneous partnership covered a wide range of target groups and, as a plus, partner´s clients.

The final outcome of the project is the curriculum "Managing diversity and gender competencies for key persons in adult education".

The training course is based on the curriculum training plan, developed during the project, and is available here.
